Louisiana Tech beats Central Arkansas 84-62

RUSTON, La. (AP) — Raheem Appleby had 18 points to lead four double-figure scorers for Louisiana Tech in an 84-62 win over Central Arkansas on Saturday.

Cordarius Johnson added 16 points, Romario Souza 13 and Michale Kyser 12 for the Bulldogs (13-14) of the Western Athletic Conference in the Bracket Busters win. Kenneth Smith grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds for Louisiana Tech.

The Bulldogs have now won back-to-back games after dropping four straight.

Louisiana Tech led just 12-10 five minutes into the game, but Kenyon McNeaill hit consecutive 3-pointers to help spark an 8-0 run and the Bulldogs led the rest of the way. They were up by 17 points at intermission and outscored the Bears of the Southland Conference 36-31 in the second half to seal it.

LaQuentin Miles had 18 points to pace Central Arkansas (7-18), which has lost nine straight.
