CHICAGO (AP) — Bulls star Derrick Rose remained sidelined because of back pain and missed his fifth straight game Saturday against the New Jersey Nets.
Rose had increased his activity in practice, and the Bulls were hoping he would be ready to return. His next chance to play is Monday against Atlanta.
Coach Tom Thibodeau says Rose is “doing fine” but has to “get the conditioning up to speed.” He also says his star point guard will play in the All-Star game as long as he is ready and is medically cleared.
