HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Penn State says federal investigators checking into a child sex abuse scandal involving a former assistant football coach want information about payments by university trustees and how school employees report misconduct.

The school on Friday disclosed more detail about a federal subpoena it first revealed a day earlier that is related to the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse case.

University spokeswoman Lisa Powers says the subpoena issued Feb. 2 requests “certain information” going back to 1998. That’s the year university police investigated a mother’s complaint that Sandusky showered with her young son.

The university on Thursday revealed prosecutors want information about Sandusky, a charity he founded, Penn State and three administrators.

Sandusky faces 52 sex abuse charges. He denies the allegations.
