Bowling Green pulls away from Miami (Ohio) 56-51

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) — Jordon Crawford scored 16 points and A’uston Calhoun added 15 as Bowling Green pulled away down the stretch to defeat Miami (Ohio) 56-51 on Wednesday night.

Trailing 41-29, Miami went on a 14-0 run to lead 43-41 after a 3-pointer by Quinten Rollins with 7:35 remaining. Bowling Green put the game away a few minutes later, reeling off six unanswered points to break a 49-49 tie. Dee Brown’s jumper with 1:15 to go put the Falcons ahead 55-49.

Brown added 11points and Scott Thomas had 10 for the Falcons (16-13, 9-6 Mid-American Conference), who have beaten the RedHawks three straight times at home.

Bowling Green is one game behind Kent State in the MAC East Division in the battle for fourth place and a first-round bye in the conference tournament.

Julian Mavunga had 17 points and 11 rebounds for the RedHawks (9-19, 5-10), who are 1-8 in conference road games.
