A woman was taken to a hospital for observation Wednesday evening after a Nissan SUV she was driving collided with a Chevrolet Blazer at Northeast 159th Street and Caples Road in Brush Prairie.
About 5 p.m., the driver of the Blazer was southbound on Caples and turned east, leaving no room for the Nissan, according to a bulletin from Fire District 3, based in Hockinson.
The driver of the Nissan swerved off the road to avoid a collision. The Blazer collided with the Nissan, authorities said, and the Nissan came to a stop atop two barricades protecting a fire hydrant.
The woman’s two children, who had been properly secured in car seats, were not reported injured.
