EL PASO, Texas (AP) — The mother of a 15-year-old Texas girl who is returning to the U.S. after being deported to Colombia says she feels like a weight has been lifted but will feel even better when she’s able to wrap her daughter in her arms.

Johnisa Turner told the Associated Press on Friday she has “a gazillion questions” for her daughter, Jakadrien Lorece (Ja-KAY-dree-un Lo-REES) Turner.

A Colombian official had said the teen, who was deported after claiming to be an illegal immigrant, was returning home Friday. The Colombian government says the teen had been working in a call center when Dallas police located her and alerted U.S and Colombian officials.

Turner says she’ll be meeting her daughter when she arrives in Dallas and said she was expecting a call from her daughter.
