Farmers in good mood at Yakima Ag Expo
Friday, January 6, 2012
YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) -- A profitable 2011 has most farmers in a good mood as they look over new equipment Friday at the Ag Expo in Yakima.
Grandview fruit grower Dave Cowan told Yakima Herald-Republic (http://is.gd/01RnaE ) he was able to replace two pickup trucks.
The two-day expo that began Thursday allows dealers to showcase tractors and other equipment at a time when farmers have money to spend.
Exports have been especially valuable to Washington apple and wheat farmers.
