Fields, Georgia State beat UNC Wilmington 75-60

ATLANTA, Ga. (AP) — James Fields scored a career-high 21 points and grabbed seven steals to lead Georgia State over North Carolina Wilmington 75-60 on Thursday night.

Devonta White and Jihad Ali added 13 points apiece, and Eric Bunker chipped in 11 for the Panthers, who won for the 12th time in their last 13 games.

The Panthers (12-4, 4-1 Colonial Athletic Association) trailed 45-44 with 11:06 left and went on a 13-2 run over the next 2:58. Fields started the spurt with six straight points, and the Seahawks turned it over twice as Georgia State build a 57-47 lead.

Georgia State scored 26 points off 18 turnovers, while committing just five.

The Seahawks (7-8, 3-2) were led by Keith Rendleman’s 23 points and 13 rebounds.

Georgia State coach Ron Hunter coached in his bare feet in support of Samaritan’s Feet, an organization that provides shoes to underprivileged children around the world.
