Coastal Carolina defeats Presbyterian 81-63

CONWAY, S.C. (AP) — Chris Gradnigo scored 18 points and Danny Nieman had 16 as Coastal Carolina defeated Presbyterian 81-63 Saturday in a Big South Conference game.

Kierre Greenwood came up with seven steals for the Chanticleers (13-4, 6-1), who forced 18 Presbyterian turnovers while committing just four. They scored 28 points off turnovers to seven for the Blue Hose (8-10, 2-6).

Nieman had a pair of 3-pointers and a layup during a 17-4 Coastal Carolina run in the opening 6 12 minutes. Nieman made all six of his shots in the game, including four 3-pointers.

The Chanticleers never trailed and led by as many as 22 points, 79-57, with 2:38 remaining.

Anthony Raffa had 12 points for Coastal Carolina, Jon Pack had 10 points and Greenwood had nine points and seven assists.

Eric Washington scored 21 points for Presbyterian, and Al’Lonzo Coleman added 16 points and 15 rebounds.
