Norwegian carrier buys 222 Boeing, Airbus planes

OSLO, Norway (AP) — Budget airline Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA says it has signed a $127 billion kronor ($21.6 billion) deal to purchase 222 planes from Boeing and Airbus.

The deal announced Wednesday includes 122 Boeing 737 aircraft and 100 Airbus A320 planes. Norwegian Air Shuttle says it’s the largest ever aircraft purchase in Europe.
