PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The U.S. Coast Guard has closed bars at the mouth of the Columbia River and at three other spots along the Pacific Northwest coast because of hazardous winds and waves.
In Washington state, the bar at the Quillayute (KWIL’-uh-yoot) River in the Olympic Peninsula was closed Wednesday morning.
