BREMERTON, Wash. (AP) — The Navy says the Bremerton-based aircraft carrier USS Stennis is making a port visit in Singapore.

It arrived Thursday with three ships from its strike group.

The ship previously operated in the Persian Gulf and went through Strait of Hormuz in defiance of Iran. The Stennis was also involved in rescuing Iranian fishermen who had been held captive by pirates in the Arabian Sea.

The Stennis is scheduled to return to Bremerton in March.
