Girls basketball: La Center 38, Toledo 26

A fast start and solid finish added up to a 1A Trico League win for the Wildcats. After a 17-4 first quarter, La Center scored only four points in each of the next two quarters and led by only six entering the final period.

Katie Whitten’s 10 points for the Wildcats topped the scoring for either team.
