Casey pushes Harvard past Brown 68-59

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — Kyle Casey recorded 20 points and eight rebounds as Harvard beat Brown 68-59 on Saturday for its sixth straight win.

Keith Wright and Steve Moundou-Missi recorded 10 and 11 rebounds, respectively, as Harvard dominated Brown on the boards 39-25.

Harvard (18-2, 4-0 Ivy League) led 31-27 at halftime but opened the second half on an 11-0 run to go ahead 42-27 with 15:53 left to play.

Brown cut the deficit to eight, 47-39, with 9:42 left but wouldn’t get any closer as the Crimson led by at least 10 the rest of the way.

All five Brown (7-14, 1-3) starters scored in double figures but the Bears received no points from its bench.

Harvard shot 49 percent (23 of 47) from the field, compared to just 37 percent (20 of 54) for Brown, and converted 20 of its 23 free throws.

Brown was 11 of 20 from the charity stripe.
