SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Kristen Riley had 17 points and 11 rebounds to help No. 23 Brigham Young beat Santa Clara 74-64 on Saturday.

Jennifer Hamson added 16 points for the Lady Cougars (20-3, 9-1 West Coast Conference), who are playing their first year in the WCC and have won nine straight since dropping their conference game at Saint Mary’s. The Lady Cougars entered the Top 25 this week for the first time since 2006.

The Broncos (8-13, 1-7) wasted a near-perfect shooting performance from guard Meagan Fulps, who made her first seven field goal attempts and initial seven free throws before finally missing her last two shots from the floor. She finished with 24 points.

Santa Clara center Lindsay Leo had 14 points and 14 rebounds.
