Injured pilot still in serious condition

Hannibal Woodward, 42, remained in serious condition Friday afternoon at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

His homebuilt aircraft crashed between the Pearson Field runway and Fort Vancouver on June 27.

Passenger Gary Sparks, 61, died when the plane went down. Passers-by attempted CPR on Sparks, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
