Fundraiser to aid family of teen drowning victim

An area church started a memorial fund for one of its members, a Vancouver teen who drowned Monday at White River Falls near Tygh Valley in north-central Oregon.

Caleb Justice, 15, slipped on the rocks at the lower section of the falls and fell into the pool at the base of the falls, along with Jonathan Brett McLean, 26, of Portland.

Wasco County Undersheriff Lane Magill said bystanders threw a rope but were unable to save the two.

River Rock Church is accepting donations for Justice's family at any Banner Bank branch or online at http://river-rock.org.

A Memorial Service for Justice will be held 2 p.m. Friday, July 20, at LifePoint Church, 305 N.E. 192nd Ave.
