Jets’ Holmes thinks 2-QB system can’t work in NFL

NEW YORK (AP) — Santonio Holmes doubts that a two-quarterback system can work in the NFL, despite the fact the New York Jets plan to use both Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow during games this season.

The Jets have insisted that Sanchez is the undisputed starter, but Tebow will be heavily involved in the offense. Holmes tells NFL Network on Monday night that “no, I don’t think” a team can win using two quarterbacks.

Holmes says “you have to allow one quarterback to get into the rhythm of the game,” but thinks Tebow’s role will be defined and not disrupt Sanchez or the offense.

Holmes participated in Sanchez’s “Jets West” camp in Southern California last week, and says Tebow “looked pretty good” and Sanchez is “going to get the job done this year.”
