Friday, June 1, 2012
SEATTLE (AP) -- The Seattle Space Needle wants to add three viewing platforms extending out from the observation deck.
They would have glass walls and a glass floor so people could look straight down.
The Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce reports (http://is.gd/tQW5d3 ) the Landmarks Preservation Board is expected to decide next week whether to give its approval.
About 1.5 million people visit the Space Needle each year.
