Letter: Bridge lifts and light rail are at odds

The Columbian
Published: May 31, 2012, 5:00pm

I am not opposed to light rail. I sometimes ride light rail. My personal schedule and destination dictate when I use light rail.

I read all or part of printed Columbia River Crossing information or personal opinion. I have not found any written explanation why bridge and light rail wear the same glove.

The bridge lifts are talked, cussed and discussed. I have yet to read that light rail cannot cross the river with known or unknown delays. Light rail cannot operate without a schedule. One bridge lift would completely back up light rail in both directions.
