NEW YORK (AP) — Carmelo Anthony believes the U.S. Olympic basketball team has enough talent to overcome the losses of a number of injured veterans.

The New York Knicks forward says the team will miss All-Stars such as Dwight Howard and Derrick Rose, but thinks the team still has “a lot of young talent that can come along and that I think can fit in with us.”

Anthony won a gold medal in 2008 and is among a number of players from that team returning this summer. He says Monday during an appearance for Jeep, a USA Basketball partner, that all the players he’s spoken with who are still playing are excited about the chance to repeat.

Anthony will report to training camp in Las Vegas with the team on July 5.
