ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Teammates of Denver Broncos linebacker D.J. Williams are coming to his defense after the team’s top tackler was blasted on social media for tweeting a photo of his playbook last week.

Williams blew past reporters without stopping to answer questions after the start of a three-day mandatory minicamp Tuesday. But several of his teammates said that while Williams might have breached NFL protocol, he didn’t give away secrets that would hurt the team.

Cornerback Tracy Porter said opponents would have to have “psychic powers” to capitalize on the photo of six defensive alignments that Williams tweeted Friday.

Coach John Fox said the issue was addressed internally. He said his players do a good job of engaging with the public but there will be missteps along the way.
