Seven individuals have expressed an interest in succeeding Jon Russell on the Washougal City Council.

Finance Director Jennifer Forsberg has received applications from Vancouver Assistant City Attorney Brent Boger, Washougal Planning Commissioner Larry Wagoner, former Planning Commissioner Morry Secrest and Washougal Park Board member Michael Norris, as well as Michelle Wagner, Randall Ellis and former councilman Rod Morris.

Russell resigned, after he accepted a job promotion in Virginia. The council is scheduled to interview applicants Monday, at 6 p.m., at City Hall, 1701 “C” St.
