Police are investigating an armed robbery that was reported Wednesday afternoon at a downtown Vancouver cellphone store.
Police responded to a robbery alarm at the Cricket store at 3801 Main St. just after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
A man entered the store, told the clerk he needed all the money and displayed a handgun, said Kim Kapp, police spokeswoman.
The suspect was described as a white male between 20 and 30 years-old with short brown hair. He was wearing jeans, a light button-up shirt, tennis shoes and a backpack with a blue blanket over it, Kapp said.
He left the store, possibly on a bicycle, with an undisclosed amount of money, Kapp said.
Several police units, including one K9 officer, responded but were unable to locate the suspect.
The case is being forwarded to detectives.
