MAMMOTH MOUNTAIN, Calif. (AP) — Olympians Louie Vito and Elena Hight won halfpipe snowboarding events Saturday in the final stop of the U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix.

Vito, of Sandy, Utah, posted a score of 98.20 to edge Greg Bretz (95.00) and win his second straight series title. Luke Mitrani was third with a 90.00.

“I am super stoked on winning the overall,” Vito said. “But riding with Greg and Luke today and watching them throw down some good runs really pushed me to ride better and for me that is what it is all about.”

Kaitlyn Farrington of Sun Valley, Idaho, finished second (87.40) in the women’s event, but edged Hight (92.80) for the season crown.
