TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — A rapper who was to perform at an Arizona nightclub until a gunbattle erupted outside says his thoughts go out to the 14 people wounded in the shootout.

Rapper Nipsey Hussle issued a statement this weekend saying he strongly opposes gun violence and that his fans know he represents “nothing but peace and progress through hard work.”

He says his “deepest thoughts and sympathies” go out to the victims and their families.

Meanwhile, the search continued Sunday for two suspects in Friday night’s shooting outside The Clubhouse Music Venue in Tempe.

Authorities say at least 250 people were outside the venue when three men began arguing and opened fire at one another.

Police arrested one of them later that night. Investigators say all three men are affiliated with Phoenix-area gangs.

All 14 people wounded are expected to survive.
