MOSES LAKE, Wash. (AP) — Police say two men were shot at a home in Moses Lake when they tried to steal marijuana.

Moses Lake Police Capt. Dave Ruffin told the Columbia Basin Herald three males forced their way into the house early Sunday morning. The homeowner shot two of the men using a handgun brought into the residence by one of the intruders, police say. Both men were treated at a local hospital before being booked into the Grant County Jail. The third intruder fled the scene.

The homeowner was also arrested after police say they discovered more than 300 marijuana plants growing inside.
