COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Columbus Blue Jackets have added forward Maksim Mayorov to the roster on emergency recall from their American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Mass.

He will fill in on Thursday night against Los Angeles for center Derek MacKenzie, who sustained a concussion in Tuesday’s win over Phoenix.

Coach Todd Richards also confirmed Thursday that defenseman Fedor Tyutin broke his hand in the same game and may be out the remainder of the season. Richards said Ryan Johansen will play center in place of MacKenzie.

The 22-year-old Mayorov has a goal and two penalty minutes in eight games with Columbus this season, and two goals in 20 career NHL games. He has eight goals and 10 assists in 34 games with Springfield this season.
