Kingpin Ryno wins Santa Anita feature

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Kingpin Ryno came from off the pace to win the $59,750 Maywood Purse for California-breds by 1 1-4 lengths on Thursday at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Victor Espinoza, Kingpin Ryno ran one mile on the turf in 1:34.02 and paid $4.40, $2.80 and $2.80.

Valley Cat returned $3.40 and $2.80, while It’s Not Unusual was another 1 1-4 lengths back in third and paid $4.60.

The victory, worth $34,800, increased Kingpin Ryno’s career earnings to $143,608, with two wins in 10 starts.
