3 plead not guilty in WA trooper shooting

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. (AP) — Three people accused of providing criminal assistance to Joshua Blake after he shot and killed Washington State Patrol Trooper Tony Radulescu (rad-ihl-EHS’-kyoo) pleaded not guilty Friday in Port Orchard.

They are 18-year-old Megan G. Mollet, who was in a pickup with Blake when he was pulled over Feb. 23 near Gorst, 32-year-old Jessi Leigh Foster who was Blake’s former girlfriend and is accused of trying to help him flee, and 37-year-old Daniel Lee Carter, who is accused of helping provide a getaway car.

KOMO Radio reports bail is set at $200,000 for Mollet, and $500,000 each for Foster and Carter. All are due back in Kitsap County Superior Court next month. Three others also are charged with rendering criminal assistance.

Blake killed himself as police closed in.
