PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Police say a pedestrian struck early Friday at an intersection in southeast Portland has died of his injuries.
Responding officers found 33-year-old Clay Everett Smith shortly before 3 a.m. down in the street. He was taken a hospital with life threatening injuries.
Police located the suspected vehicle nearby and detained the driver for questioning.
They have not yet made any arrests or identified the driver.
