Dominguez dislocates collar bone in Big A spill

NEW YORK (AP) -- Ramon Dominguez, the two-time defending Eclipse Award winner as the nation's leading jockey, suffered a dislocated collar bone in a spill at Aqueduct on Sunday.

Dominguez was aboard Mob Wife in the eighth race when the filly fell in the stretch and he was thrown to the track. Suave N Sassy then crashed into Mob Wife, unseating apprentice jockey Samuel Camacho Jr.

Dominguez was able to walk off to an ambulance; Camacho was removed on a stretcher. Both were transported to a local hospital, according to the New York Racing Association's jockey advocate.

X-rays on Camacho were negative. He hopes to resume riding on Wednesday. There was no timetable for Dominguez's return.
