Gresham skating rink video leads to arrest



GRESHAM, Ore. (AP) — Video from Gresham Skate World led to the arrest Monday of a woman suspected of crashing a birthday party for a 10-year-old girl at the skating rink and stealing from purses of family members.

KATU reports ( ) the suspect seen in Saturday’s video, Kamila Joy Rhodes, was convicted of similar burglary and theft charges in 2009 when she was accused of stealing wallets from church members.

Among the people who recognized Rhodes on the video were the pastor of Gresham’s Sanctuary Church, Russ Bailey, and the grand jury foreman from the 2009 case.

Rhodes got out of prison last October and was on parole.
