TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Gymnasts Alaina Williams and Steven Legendre are putting off their wedding until next April.

First, it’s London calling.

Williams is trying to become the lone representative at the Olympics for the U.S. women’s trampoline program and Legendre is attempting to make the men’s artistic gymnastics team — as well as serving as his fiancee’s coach.

Williams’ journey began in earnest this weekend with the first of three qualifying legs for the Olympics. The second qualifying event is in Cleveland in May, and the last one will be in San Jose, Calif., in late June.

Williams moved to Oklahoma about a year ago to train alongside Legendre. She says the two are able to relieve each other’s stress because both understand the demands of trying to get to the Olympics.
