SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle police say one pedestrian was hit by a fleeing stolen car and a second person was hurt while diving out of the way.

Detective Mark Jamieson says both Friday night injuries were minor. The fleeing car also struck several vehicles, including at least one police car.

The driver finally jumped out and ran and officers arrested a man in his 20s. Jamieson says the man was taken to Harborview Medical Center for evaluation since he seemed to be under the influence of drugs. The officer said the man would be booked into jail on a number of counts.

Police say the incident began Friday evening in the Greenlake neighborhood. An officer had recovered a stolen Honda Accord and notified the owner, who was planning to come get the car but had to travel from Tacoma. A short time later, the officer saw the same car being driven down the street — after being stolen again. He tried to pull the car over and the driver took off.
