TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — Tacoma is selling two libraries that were closed last year by budget cuts.
The city is taking bids for the buildings and it says they won’t necessarily go to the highest bidder.
The News Tribune reports (http://is.gd/G4Uu0j) the major considerations will be how the proposals meet community goals and neighborhood needs.
The library board plans to use the proceeds to maintain and repair remaining branches.
