ALBANY, Ore. (AP) — The sheriff of Polk County wants help solving the 7-year-old cold case of a missing man.
The Albany Democrat-Herald (http://bit.ly/IP5J1R ) reports new information has turned up in the disappearance of 56-year-old Glenn Pennie. Sheriff Bob Wolfe says someone coming forward may solve the mystery.
Pennie was last seen by a neighbor Oct. 3, 2004, at Pennie’s home 10 miles south of Dallas. He had told friends he was on his way to settle his father’s estate in Oakland, Calif.
He disappeared without signs of a struggle but Wolfe says foul play is suspected.
Retired law enforcement officers have been investigating for the last 18 months. A reward from private donors for information on Pennie increased last week from $4,000 to $7,000. The FBI is offering additional reward money.
