DETROIT (AP) — The Pittsburgh Pirates have recalled left-hander Jeff Locke from Triple-A Indianapolis and put right-handed reliever Jason Grilli on the bereavement list following the death of his wife’s grandfather.
Locke is 3-3 with a 3.02 ERA at Triple-A. He went 0-3 with a 6.48 ERA for the Pirates in 2011.
Grilli has been sharp this year, going 1-1 with a 2.25 ERA in 16 innings.
