Freeway drivers in the Fairgrounds area will encounter a full closure of the Interstate 5 northbound offramp to Northeast 179th Street for three nights this week, starting Thursday.

The ramp will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the nights of May 31, June 1 and June 2 while crews working with the Washington State Department of Transportation pave the northbound lanes of I-5 between 134th and 179th streets.

Paving work is weather-dependent and will be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.

This work is part of the Salmon Creek Interchange project. Drivers can stay informed of traffic impacts by visiting WSDOT’s travel alerts Web page and by dialing 511.
