A Vancouver man remained in critical condition Friday at Enloe Medical Center in Chico, Calif., after he was seriously injured Sunday.

Tyler Burton, 21, was knocked to the pavement after being punched in the face by someone he accidentally bumped into, according to a Chico Police Department bulletin. He was unconscious and had “significant head trauma.” Burton is a 2010 graduate of Mountain View High School, where he played football.

Andres Rodriguez, 20, was booked into the Butte County Jail in Oroville, Calif., after the incident on suspicion of assault, Chico police said.

Anyone interested in helping with Burton’s medical bills can donate at any Chase Bank branch.
