The Oregon Air National Guard’s 142nd Fighter Wing will conduct routine F-15 fighter jet flying training soon to stay current with mandatory Air Force requirements.

The training flights will occur between Nov. 13 and Nov. 15.

Most training flights should be completed each evening before 10 p.m., Guard officials said. The training may cause more noise than normal at the air base near Portland International Airport as both ground and air traffic increase.

Night flying is conducted almost monthly as it is essential training for the use of night vision goggles and for nighttime maneuvers, officials said.
