SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — 49ers running back Brandon Jacobs has posted advice on Twitter with a reference to never working “in a place where you hate your boss so much.” The hash tag: “YouLiveAndYouLearn.”

Jacobs had terrible timing with the tweet Thursday afternoon, considering San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh was hospitalized for what the team called a “minor procedure” for an irregular heartbeat.

In the locker room soon after his post, Jacobs said people shouldn’t “assume” his remarks were football-related, then followed up with more tweets — including one reading “football is not my life.”

Jacobs, who dealt with a left knee injury early in the year, has been active only once all season but never played. He took the field for a play Oct. 18 against Seattle, then got called off.
