STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) — Penn State will begin its late-season sendoff for its senior class with a visit Saturday from Indiana.

Thanksgiving break has arrived in Happy Valley, but coach Bill O’Brien is hoping fans and students can alter their travel plans slightly for the holiday to cheer on the Nittany Lions (6-4, 4-2 Big Ten) in their final two games of the year. The season wraps up next week against Wisconsin.

O’Brien said he hopes Penn State fans applaud a team that has had to deal with unprecedented NCAA sanctions. The Nittany Lions cannot go to a bowl game.

The bowl hopes for Indiana (4-6, 2-4) are slim. The Hoosiers must win their last two games, starting with Penn State — a team they’ve never beaten in 15 tries.
