Columbia Credit Union will break ground on a 20,000-square-foot addition and remodel to its main Operations Center in December, following a “greenbreaking” event at 10 a.m. Nov. 30 at the construction site, 200 S.E. Park Plaza Drive in Vancouver. The addition, which will be built to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold certification standards, is scheduled for completion in late 2013.
The new facility will connect with the existing Operations Center via a glass encased three-story atrium topped with pyramid-shaped skylights, the credit union said. It will house executive and back office staff currently located in downtown Vancouver. The credit union says it will maintain a complete financial center with branch services, wealth management and business lending to serve the downtown core.
