No. 15 Texas women beat Central Connecticut 94-58

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Chassidy Fussell scored 22 points and Nneka Enemkpali scored 21 to lead No. 15 Texas in beating Central Connecticut State 94-58 on Saturday night.

Fussell made 4 of 7 shots from 3-point range. Enemkpali was 8 of 13 from the floor and grabbed 10 rebounds, reaching her fourth consecutive double-double for the season.

Imani McGee-Stafford added 13 points and Cokie Reed 12 for the Longhorns (4-0).

Texas opened the game with a 13-0 run, maintaining a 51-25 lead at halftime.

The Blue Demons started the second half with a 9-4 run, but they were no match for Texas. The Blue Demons were 22 of 66 (33 percent) from the field for the game.

Jaclyn Babe led the Blue Demons (2-2) with 15 points, 11 of them in the second half. Jessica Babe scored eight of her 10 points in the second half. Lauren Arbogast added 10.
