Upside-down American flag stolen from Spokane home

SPOKANE (AP) — An upside-down American flag that had been flying in the front yard of a Spokane home was stolen over the weekend.

Greg Carman began flying the sign of distress after the election as a political protest. On Saturday night there was a knock on the door. He found a note that said "Obama 2012," and discovered his flag was gone.

Carman told KREM he'll get another flag and keep flying it upside down until the first of the year.
