Boys basketball: Ridgefield 56, Woodland 53

Ridgefield pushed the tempo in the second quarter to open up a 43-25 halftime lead, then had to hang on for the non-league win.

Woodland worked back within three points in the fourth quarter before the Spudders held the Beavers scoreless in their final six possessions.

David Potter had 19 points, four assists and five steals to lead Ridgefield (2-0). Neil Biggerstaff added 12 points and 10 rebounds, and A.J. Olson added 10 points and six rebounds.

Tanner Huddleston and Tannyr Knight paced Woodland with 16 points each (0-1).
