College Notebook: QB can’t Dodge award

Skyview graduate named Frontier Conference Offensive Player of Year

Southern Oregon sophomore quarterback Austin Dodge was named Frontier Conference Offensive Player of the Year after leading the Raiders into the NAIA playoffs.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Skyview High School graduate was one of two unanimous selections to the First Team, and is the conference’s nominee for NAIA Player of the Year.

Dodge set Southern Oregon records and led the NAIA with 4,325 passing yards and 36 touchdowns during the regular season, helping lead a Raider offense that shattered program records with 6,570 yards of total offense and 544 total points.

The Raiders’ season ended Saturday at 9-3 with a 47-44 overtime loss at undefeated Morningside of Iowa in the NAIA quarterfinals.

Dodge finished the season with 5,076 passing yards and 42 touchdowns, and the Raiders finished with an NAIA-leading average of 642 yards a game of total offense.
