Girls basketball: Mountain View 65, Evergreen 59

The visiting Thunder made 10 3-point shots, including one from near half court by Carly Holboke at the halftime buzzer that put Mountain View ahead to stay.

Holboke scored 26 points and Emma DuChesne 25 to carry the Thunder.

Deja Nicholas led Evergreen with 24 points and Nakesha Hatchett added 21.

Mountain View rode the momentum from Holboke’s basket at the halftime buzzer to a 21-point third quarter and a double-digit lead.
