Members of the regional SWAT team deployed Friday in search of a felony suspect, said Cmdr. Dave King of the Vancouver Police Department.

SWAT was stationed at an apartment complex at Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard and Southeast 160th Avenue with a Bearcat, an armored vehicle, according to emergency radio traffic monitored by The Columbian.

Police have a warrant for a Hispanic man, who goes by “Junior,” on suspicion of first-degree attempted murder, kidnapping and robbery. A warrant is also out for a woman for first-degree kidnapping and robbery.

Two children between ages 1 and 3 were in the apartment with the woman; the man had not been located Friday night.
